Mauricio Pochettino new favourite to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United

Mourinho is still the favourite to be first Premier League manager sacked this season.

Mauricio Pochettino has been installed as the bookies favourite to take over from struggling Jose Mourinho, and become the next permanent Manchester United manager.

The Spurs boss has been named as the clear 4/1 favourite to be handed the reigns at Old Trafford, if the Argintinean could be persuaded to leave North London.

Mourinho is currently the favourite to be the first manager of the season to go, overtaking the likes of Claude Puel and Javi Gracia in the sack race.

Elsewhere, second favourite to become next permanent Red Devils boss is triple-Champions League winning manager Zinedine Zidane at 15/2, in what would be a sensational appointment.

Carlo Ancelotti is third favourite at 9/1, followed by Ryan Giggs (10/1), Massimiliano Allegri (11/1), Antonio Conte (11/1) and Luis Enrique (14/1).

With pressure mounting on the shoulders of Mourinho, Spurs boss Pochettino has been heralded as the clear favourite to take over as Man Utd boss. He’s been cut to 4/1 following Mourinho’s disastrous pre-season and negative comments, and punters agree with the choice - with Poch attracting 62% of all bets.
