Premier League Betting: Manchester United 6/4 to finish in top four after sixth consecutive win under Solskjaer

The Red Devils beat Brighton 2-1 on Saturday afternoon to close the gap on Chelsea to just three points, with the Blues losing 2-0 at Arsenal

Manchester United are 6/4 (2.5) to finish in the top four of the Premier League after securing a sixth consecutive win in the competition under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Goals from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford set up a 2-1 win over Brighton, moving them to within three points of fourth-place Chelsea and maintaining a 100 per cent record since Jose Mourinho departed.

The Red Devils were 14/1 (15.00) on December 21 to finish in a Champions League spot but maximum points since then, combined with the results of other top four rivals, has seen their odds cut each week.

On the reverse side, 8/15 (1.23) that United fail to make the top four for the fourth time in the six seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

It took an injury time strike from Harry Winks to ensure Tottenham remain 2/9 (1.22) to take one of the top four positions, although the north London outfit face an uphill battle in the coming weeks.

On top of Harry Kane being injured until at least March and Son Heung-min away at the Asian Cup, things got even worse in their 2-1 win over Fulham as Dele Alli limped off with a hamstring injury.

A tricky Carabao Cup second leg at Chelsea on Thursday is followed by an FA Cupvisit to Crystal Palace on Sunday, who have taken five points from their eight matches against the ‘Big Six’ this season. Both look tricky encounters given the absentees Pochettino has to contend with.

Spurs' next three league games all come at home as the north London club host Watford, Newcastle and Leicester.

Chelsea sit fourth in the Premier League after their 2-0 defeat at Arsenal, but are still just 1/5 (1.2) to finish in the top four.

The Gunners can be backed at 7/2 (4.5) despite that much-needed victory – just their third win in their last seven league games – with the online bookmaker making it 1/5 (1.2) that they miss out on the Champions League again.
