Zinedine Zidane is the new favourite to take over at Manchester United

Manchester United could be going from one former Real Madrid boss to another, if the rumours circulating around Zinedine Zidane are true.

Reports today state that the man who coached the Galacticos to three Champions League triumphs in a row wants a Premier League job, with the hot seat at Old Trafford looking the most appealing.

Jose Mourinho’s recent antics (and lacklustre pre-season) indicate that his days may be numbered, and a replacement could be arranged shortly.

Zidane has had his odds tumble in the last few days as this story gathers momentum, with the 46-year old cut from 8/1 into a best price of 11/4 to take over the Red Devils.

He leads the market ahead of the likes of Mauricio Pochettino (6/1), Carlo Ancelotti (11/1) and Ryan Giggs (13/1).

Zidane also leads the way with punters, with around half of all total bets being placed on the triple Champions League winning manager over the last fortnight.

Zinedine Zidane would be a huge addition to the Premier League, and Manchester United are one of the only clubs big enough to potentially land the four-time Champions League winner. He’s the new favourite to take over from Jose Mourinho and would create a new dimension in their rivalry with City.
