Manchester City vs Arsenal tips AnObviousBettor
Manchester City slipped five points behind Liverpool in midweek. It could have been worse had Liverpool beaten Leicester but City will be cursing themselves for coming away from Newcaslte United without any points. Last time they lost a league game, they suffered a second straight defeat and can't afford to do that again. They host Arsenal who are fourth in the table but nine points behind City. The home side will look to get their scoring boots back on and have a good record against Arsenal with wins in the last four games played against them scoring 11 goals. The January transfer window closed with Arsenal failing to buy any top defenders. That's despite the fact it's their defending that has to be improved if they are to once again challenge for the title. Arsenal have already conceded 33 league goals this season and 22 of those have come in away games Their last 21 away league games has seen them keep just one clean sheet. You have to worry for them up against the City attack and the tip here is for City to get the win leading at both half and full time.

I am scared of this one for my former team. Yes we have got into the top four and are doing better than anticipated. But Man City will be angry and will be looking to close that gap before Liverpool play and we all know that City can rip any team apart. And because it is a big team coming to play them, they will be even more up for this, so I see nothing other than a comfortable City win and Arsenal could get a bit of a run around here. This is the least hopeful I have been for an Arsenal game ever, I fear they could give us a real hiding and I think they will win 3-0, with the title race back on. It could be more than 3-0 and that is what really worries me as Arsenal have no defence and we will have a full-back in Monreal playing at centre-back, so it is just a shambles defensively at the moment. And that is where I do not have any hope. Source: Sky Sports

We know the problem with Arsenal is that, while they can score goals, they struggle to stop them. Away from home, they haven't kept a clean sheet in the league all season. So that is why I am going to go with City to bounce back here. Yes, their whole team was flat against Newcastle on Tuesday but in my experience that just makes it easier to lift them collectively. Every team puts in poor performances sometimes, and nobody really knows why, but I don't think it is a sign that City are about to struggle. Source: BBC
