Manchester United and Liverpool both looked ordinary on Sunday and I just felt Manchester City would have reacted to what happened far better than Liverpool did.
When United lost most of their midfield, City would have just gone 'bang' and blown them away, but that says a bit more about Liverpool at the moment than anything else.
I just wonder whether Reds boss Jurgen Klopp might change things here, and go with the 4-2-3-1 that he has used quite a bit recently.
That way, Xherdan Shaqiri comes in, Roberto Firmino drops deeper into the number 10 position and Salah goes through the middle as the centre-forward, rather than out wide.
Shaqiri could be the player who gives Liverpool the boost they need, because he makes thing happen.
This is a tricky week for the Reds, with the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park coming up on Sunday. What they really want ahead of that is a decent performance and a comfortable victory.
I think they will get the win, but they are going to have work for it because Watford are on a good run and they will provide a serious test.

Four of the last five Liverpool games have ended in draws and that's a trend that has to stop. It's put their hopes of reaching the last eight of the Champions League in jeopardy and their lead over Manchester City in the Premier League is only a point. They have only five goals in their last five matches and three of those came in the win over Bournemouth. Mo Salah has only scored once in the last five games and he has to improve on that strike rate if Liverpool are to go on and win the title. They are unbeaten at home in the Premier League and avoiding defeat here will take their unbeaten run at Anfield to 35 games.
Watford are seventh in the table and that might just be enough to reach the Europa League next season. They are also in the FA Cup quarter finals and have only lost one of their last eight league matches. Friday saw them get a convincing 5-1 win at Cardiff City and they'll be hoping for more goals from Gerard Duelofou who scored a hat-trick in that match. Consistency isn't their strong point though and not since September 2017 have they won consecutive away league games. They are consistent when it comes to losing at Anfield with five straight defeats and 11 goals conceded in the last two vists. Liverpool will probably be satisifed with a 1-0 win here just to stay top. Go for them to get the home win.
