Wolves are eighth in the Premier League but only behind seventh placed Watford on goal difference. They suffered a surprise defeat in midweek losing at bottom of the table Huddersfield Town. The defeat ended a run of five league games without a loss but with two previous draws, they've gone three league games without a win. Home form has been strong of late with seven points from their last three in the Premier League and this is a great opportunity to get three points.
Cardiff City are back in the relegation zone after the midweek results. They are two points from safety and badly need to get a good result here. The Welsh side haven't just lost their last two league games but conceded eight goals in the process losing to Watford and Everton. Even worse, both defeats were at home and their away form is patchy. The last four away games have produced two wins and two losses but overall this season, Cardiff have lost nine on the road. Wolves can get the three points from this game.
Wolves have now lost home and away to Huddersfield, which is a surprise when you think about the season that Nuno Espirito Santo's side have had.
Defeat here would mean Cardiff will also do the double over them, but I don't expect that to happen.
Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock, who has generally been very supportive and positive about his team, even on bad days, criticised some of his players after they lost to Everton on Tuesday.
Warnock is probably on the warpath, and probably worried too, after seeing his side lose heavily in their past two matches - and I don't think he will be smiling much on Saturday night either.
