Chelsea vs Wolverhampton Wanderers tips

Wolves have been brilliant this season but realistically cannot finish any higher than their current position (7th) due to the gap between them and Chelsea. Although their form has been relatively good, Chelsea (inside 90mins) are unbeaten in their last 5 outings. With the form that Man Utd are currently in, Chelsea will know that if they are to finish in the top 4 then they need to finish this season strongly and win games like this.

Wolves came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 at Molineux and would have been confident of a repeat a few weeks ago. Chelsea have turned their form around following the disastrous defeats at Bournemouth and Man City. The 2-0 win over Spurs was the catalyst and they have also found comfort in Europe League wins over Kiev and Malmo. The race for a top four place is well and truly in and Chelsea can keep up the momentum this afternoon. Wolves are certainly capable of making life difficult but the 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield was a big worry

Wolves returned to winning ways against Cardiff last week but Chelsea are playing well at the moment.
The narrative much of the media took in the past few weeks was that Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is losing his job and the Kepa Arrizabalaga incident at Wembley was supposed to be accelerating that process.
In reality, their past few performances have all been good and, if they play like that again on Sunday, I would expect them to win.
Wolves have got a good record against the top-six clubs this season, and beat Chelsea at Molineux in December, but I think they will find it a lot harder this time.
