Arsenal finished top of Group E, unbeaten and having picked just one draw in the six matches. BATE on the other hand, lost three matches in Group L but still managed to qualify and this will not be a first time meeting with an English side; they were in the same group with Chelsea, who finished top. Bate also met Arsenal in the 2017/18 Europa League campaign, with Arsenal winning both legs and they will be keen to stop the Gunners here. Arsenal have picked three wins in their last five matches but their away record has left a lot to be desired, with just two wins in the last eight matches. In Europa League, however, they have a great run; they won each of their three away matches at the group stage, scoring seven goals and keeping straight clean sheets. In their history, Arsenal have only played 10 away matches in Europa League, they have won seven and lost two. BATE, on their side, have managed just five wins in 22 matches in Europa League. They will be hoping to better that run with a win here but they have very dim memories of their games against Arsenal. They have two wins in 11 home matches in the competition and just five clean sheets in 19 Europa League clashes at home.
