Millwall vs Hull City tips Joey Barton
After a dismal run that stretched from early November right the way through late December, the Lions have turned a corner of late. Saturday’s hosts come into this match having won each of their last three matches. Having got the better of Ipswich away from home last time out, despite being a goal down at half time, Neil Harris’ men will be feeling confident ahead of this match. If Millwall are likely to come here feeling upbeat, then Hull are likely to come into this fixture with their confidence levels sky-high. The visitors have won each of their last five, while they’ve now unbeaten in eight. On top of that, they battered Bolton by six goals to nil last time out. Given that they’ve scored plenty of goals in recent week, it would be easy to assume that the Tigers will go to South London and continue to hit their stride offensively on Sunday afternoon, but the Lions are a tough nut to crack.
Millwall vs Hull City tips Matheus Vinhal
Two Championship sides clash in the third round of the FA Cup. Both have had a tough season so far but have recently been showing signs of improvement. Millwall are 19th in the Championship, six points clear of the relegation zone that they have spent most of the season in. All very disappointing after a great second half to last season nearly saw them make the promotion play-offs. They had been on a run of eight league games without a win but have recovered well with three straight league wins. Hull City are 13th in the Championship but have also spent a fair amount of time in the relegation zone, at one time sliding to 23rd in the table. They come into this game on an eight-game unbeaten run and have won their last five, most notably winning away at league leaders Leeds United. They have scored at least twice in each of their last seven games. A hard result to predict as Millwall have a good home record in this competition but a bet on over 2.5 goals to be scored looks a good one.
