Tunisia was installed as one of the key favourites earlier before the tournament but honestly, they failed to live up to their billing. They had to struggle against Angola and in their game, a draw with Mali and could not even find a winner against lower Mauritania. I have watched all 3 of Tunisia games and they lack desire and urgency to even want to win the game. Their midfield has been passing to defence back and forth because there seems like no one in midfield knows what to do with the ball and their frintline keeps wasting all the chances shooting from outside the box when they have right and left flanks to bring to the byline and deliver the ball. As for Madagascar, they played very well against Nigeria and won 2-0. I myself probably thought it may just be one of the good games for them but in the match against Congo, Madagascar displayed their utmost desire and will to win the game. And I believe with this attribute, they will make Tunisia run for the money.

Their draws came against Angola, Mali and Mauritania. The last sixteen saw them up against Ghana and that nearly saw them get their first win in normal time. Tunisia led 1-0 but their opponents equalized in the 92nd minutes. Eventually the game went to a penalty shoot-out and that was won 5-4 by the Tunisians.
