Hosts Standard Liege have had a great run going to this clash; they are unbeaten in their last seven matches, four of which have ended in wins and they are unbeaten as well in their last six league matches, winning four. Meanwhile, Anderlecht have managed just two wins in their last eight league matches and with just one win in the last six away league matches, the odds will be heavily stacked against them here, especially since they will be facing a side unbeaten in the last four league games at home; their home loss to Antwerp in November happens to be Standard Liege’s only loss in the last 29 home games in the league. Anderlecht have also not managed a clean sheet in their last 20 away league matches. Both sides have scored in each of the last four meetings, and each of these matches have ended in over 2.5 goals while Standard Liege have won two and Anderlecht one, with one ending in a draw.

Brugge is on 2nd in the tables but in the league havent won away since september. Lokeren may be last but at home are pretty good, only losing twice since august. With these contrasting stats, Lokeren has a fair chance for a minisurprise here. Maybe the owners will not score 3 points, but they are able to play a draw. I would believe such a result. The line is not very diverse, chose what seemed the most interesting.
Lokeren have had a terrible season, and sit rock bottom of the Belgium Pro League table. The main reason for this is their appalling away form. They have picked up just 2 points on the road all season, with one of those points coming from a shock 1-1 draw with Anderlecht. Their home form has been half decent though, picking up 12 points from 10 games. Brugge have not had a great season either by their own very high standards. After coasting to the league title last season by 12 points, they currently find themselves 2nd in the league, 7 points adrift of first place Genk. They have also crashed out of the Champions League, however they did finish 3rd in the group so they will at least get the chance to continue their European adventures in the Europa League. Club Brugge are understandably the favourites for the game, but they are priced up far too short. No wins in 6 away from home is terrible form, so we think it’s very unlikely they bounce back on Thursday.
