Vasco is in need of a win to breakaway from the bottom group. Based on their H2H records with Fluminense winning 4 games and drawn 1 in their past 5 meetings, Vasco should go all out for the 3 points. Fluminense's away record do not look so good as well.
Much awaited game for me. Highly anticipated. Avai has been totally struggling down the table and Fortaleza, the champion of 2nd division last season has been performing pretty good based on the fact that they are competing at top flight. This is the kind of game that promoted clubs need to win to survive in the league.
I think Gremio are a strong choice to win this fixture. They have won the last 5 head to head meetings when they are the home team and their form of late has been very strong winning all of their last 5 and if you go back even further they've won 8 of their last 10. Vasco's away form on the other hand has been the total opposite. They've not won in their last 6 away games managing only 1 draw so I see this going the way of Gremio with their confidence growing and Vasco's going the other way on the road.
Given all of Atletico PR’s last six matches have finished with 1-0 scorelines and all of their last 12 have had under 2.5 goals, it seems a near certainty that this game isn’t going to be a goal fest. They have the joint best defensive record in the league and given Inter don’t score many goals themselves, they’ll be confident of keeping a clean sheet here. It’s a bit too soon to view the visitors as a rejuvenated force on the back of one league win and given Atletico PR’s home record, you’d fancy them to edge this. So, backing Atletico PR to Win 1-0 at 5/1 looks a good shout
Moreover, Inter have won 4 of the last 5 meetings but Atletico PR have won 4 of their last 6 home games against Inter, all to nil.
